Concord Chamber Singers of the Lehigh Valley, PA invites experienced choral singers to audition for our 2018-2019 season.

CCS is a mid-size chamber ensemble, with approximately 40 singers. Our music is eclectic, from Middle Ages through new commissions, from traditional concert music to Video Games Live with the Allentown Symphony. This year's season includes a musical Yuletide Feast at the Northampton Country Club on December 6 and 7, a Family Christmas concert on December 2, and a spring concert on April 7. We support our community by singing shorter concerts at places like Kirkland Village and the Lehigh University Baccalaureate, and always enjoy singing when we can attend an Iron Pigs baseball game or when Emmet Cahill of Celtic Thunder comes to town!

We are a multi-generational group with ages from the 20s to the 70s, and about a dozen of us go out socially at a local Bar and Grill after rehearsals. We have a hard-working board made up of mostly singers and consider each other family.

Our rehearsals generally begin the 1st Friday after Labor Day in September, through May, depending on concert dates, with a break around the winter holidays. We rehearse at Williams Center for the Arts on the Lafayette College campus, 317 Hamilton St (corner of High) in Easton, Friday evenings between 7:30 and 9:45 p.m..

You need prepare nothing for the audition. You will be taken through some exercises for vocal tone and flexibility, ear, and reading ability. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about the group and expectations. Our goal is to remain a mid-size chamber ensemble with the vocal flexibility and balanced blend to sing varied styles and genres with a group of fun-loving and hard working supportive members who take musical risks toward a meaningful concert that makes an impact on our audience and on ourselves.

Auditions typically are scheduled in August of each year, with exceptions as needed.

If you have any questions about us or our season, or you would like to schedule an audition appointment, please call the Box Office at (484) 707-5078 or Contact Us through our website. Can't wait to meet you!

Our mission is to foster excellent singing and impactful storytelling while engaging communities in the vibrancy of the choral art. CCS makes conscious decisions that affect and support our greater community.
