Barbara Forry, President
Barbara Forry is a retired educator with a B.S. in music Education and a M.S. in Education: Reading specialist. She finds CCS musically interesting for both the wide variety of music performed and the level of perfection achieved. She most enjoys the camaraderie and friendliness of the CCS family.

George Fennell
, Past-President
George is a retired music teacher and active in many Lehigh Valley musical groups. He has been a member of Concord Chamber Singers for 10 years and says that this group really challenges and fulfills his musical abilities.

Wayne Mery, Vice-President, Webmaster
Wayne Mery has sung tenor in several Lehigh Valley choral groups as well as the Penn State University Choir. For Wayne, singing and creating great music is an invigorating activity whose physical, mental and social aspects help maintain balance and personal fulfillment - which CCS most certainly provides. Wayne sings in his church choir, plays cello in the church orchestra and is a computer professional by day.

Rosie Bukics, Treasurer
A newcomer to CCS, Rosie most enjoys listening to the incredible singing by such a talented group. By day, Rosie is a professor of accounting and finance at Lafayette College and her role on the board is to put her expertise to work as treasurer for the organization.

Therese Gillette
, Membership
Therese was born and raised in Catasauqua, PA, and currently lives in Northampton. She has sung with many area choruses and has been a member of CCS since 1997. In addition to serving on the CCS Board, Therese is the Soprano Section Leader. She is a lifetime member of St. Mary Church of the Annunciation, Catasauqua, where she has been singing forever. Therese is also retired and loving it!

Elisabeth Long, Secretary, Concert Event Planning

A graduate of West Chester University with a degree in Music Education/Vocal Performance, Liz has been a member of CCS for more than 20 years. Along with regular CCS board responsibilities, Liz has the role of Event Planner, in which she assists with details pertaining to concerts and get-togethers, and oversees the planning of receptions and post-concert parties. Liz is also the Section Leader for the Altos. Liz is a Middle School teacher for Whitehall-Coplay School District. She lives with her husband and daughter in New Tripoli, PA.

Angela Mitchell, Assistant Conductor, Social Media
Angela Mitchell, soprano, is in her third year with CCS. She received a Bachelors Degree in Music from West Chester University, where she majored in voice and sung in many elite vocal ensembles. A multi-talented musician, Angela also plays trombone and bass recorder. She was previously employed by the Northampton School District, where she was co-director and brass technician for the Big N Band and director of the pit orchestra. She received a diploma in Band Instrument Repair from Southeast Technical College and has worked at Nazareth Music Center as an instrument repair technician and sales associate. She is currently employed with Martin Guitar. In her spare time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and friends and writing poetry and song lyrics.

Brian Paul, Financial and Data Analyst

Brian Paul, a member of CCS for over 30 years and a Board Member since 2010, has also sung with St. Thomas More Church Choir, Camerata Singers, Bel Canto Singers, Masterwork Choral, Warren County Community Singers and Bethlehem aCapella Singers. A Forecasting & Data Analyst and Programmer by profession, his expertise has been utilized to validate CCS bookkeeping and provide budget forecasts to the board.


George Wharton

George F. Wharton III's biographical sketch is included in Contemporary Authors. He has a had a gerontological reference book published, as well as articles on teaching strategies, biopolymers, and a number of bibliographies. Musically, George can be found dancing, singing, and playing the piano and organ.

Janet Whittington, Publicity Director
This is the first year for Janet Whittington to be on the board of directors. She has been singing with the Concord Chamber Singers for two years. She is a retired elementary and special education teacher having taught in Southern California for nearly 40 years. Music has always been a large part of her life, especially singing. Coming from a very musical family she has sung in choirs all her life, and realizes how very important the arts are to education and society as a whole. She is proud to be helping CCS make their well deserved mark in the Lehigh Valley.
